Terms and Conditions
1. The prize draw is open to all UK residents over 18 excluding Northern Ireland, employees and their immediate families of Walkers Snacks Limited (the “Promoter”), its affiliated companies, Waitrose Limited, their agents or other persons professionally connected with the draw. 2. By taking part in this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions. 3. Entries must be via the form within the Waitrose Weekend edition available in-store from 22 - 29 September or completion of the leaflet being handed out at selected stores during sampling on 23 and 24 September. 4. All free post entries must sent to freepost to “Freepost Plus RSLZ-AGRZ-LXGU, Waitrose Sensations Competition, PO Box 642, Banbury, OX16 6FT”. 5. No purchase necessary. 6. Entries can be received between 22 September - 6 October 2011 Entries up to and including 13 October will be entered into the draw, providing the entries show a post mark within the promotional period 22 September to 6 October 2011. 7. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, altered or illegible entries. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed. 8. Only one entry per household. No bulk, consumer group or third party entries will be accepted. 9. The winners will be drawn at random from all valid entries received by the closing date under independent supervision on 14 October 2011. One draw will be undertaken. The winners will be notified by telephone no later than 28 October 2011. The prize must be claimed by 18 November 2011. All reasonable effort will be made to contact winners, however, if the prize is not claimed by 19 November 2011 an alternative winner will be chosen. 10. There are 26 prizes to be won; There is 1 main prize of a 9 day holiday to Thailand for 2 people and 25 runners up prizes of Leith's School of Food and Wine Vouchers: The 1 main prize of a 9 day (7 night) holiday to Thailand is a private tour for two people. It includes direct economy class flights from London Heathrow Airport to Bangkok with Thai Airways or Eva Air., Accommodation includes:
a) 2 nights stay at a boutique inn in Bangkok,
b) 1 night stay at a traditional Thai village in Central Plains
c) 3 nights stay at a luxury private home in Chiang Mai,
d) 1 night will be spent on an overnight transfer from Central Plains to Chang Mai
Cooking lessons will take place at Blue Elephant cooking school, Bangkok, domestic kitchen at Central Plains village and the Organic Farm cookery school, Chang Mai. Throughout the winners stay all breakfasts will be provided. All transfers whilst on the cookery tour in Thailand will be provided. The winner will also receive a cheque of £500 spending money.
The itinerary for this trip is as follows:
Day 1: Overnight flight from Heathrow to Bangkok
Day 2: A private driver will meet guests at Bangkok airport in the afternoon and take them to a boutique inn in Bangkok's centre. Evening at leisure.
Day 3: Free morning. In the afternoon, guests will have a cookery lesson at the Blue Elephant Cookery School. Evening free.
Day 4: Travel to Central Plains where guests will arrive at a canal-side village. Stay overnight at the village headman's traditional Thai house.
Day 5: Cookery class with traditional Thai ingredients at Central Plains village. Later on in the afternoon, guests are taken to the train station in the nearby town of Ayutthaya to take an overnight sleeper train north to Chiang Mai.
Day 6: Guests are met at Chiang Mai train station this morning and whisked away to a luxury private home in the countryside just outside the city. In the evening, a driver will take you into the centre of Chiang Mai to have a look around the bustling bazaar.
Day 7: Discover how to make northern Thai food using the freshest of ingredients, when visiting an organic farm before having a northern-style Thai cookery lesson. Dinner with your hostess.
Day 8: Day at leisure.
Day 9: After breakfast a driver will take guests to Chiang Mai airport where you will take a short connecting flight to Bangkok and connect to the international flight to the UK for you return flight from Bangkok to Heathrow.
The prize must be taken and the winners returned to the UK by 30 June 2012. The prize excludes travel during 8 December to 24 December 2011 and 31 March to 15 April 2012. The prize does not include travel to and from London Heathrow Airport, applicable travel visas, personal travel and medical insurance. The winner will be contacted by a member of Corporate Innovations and asked for their full postal address, they will then receive a letter confirming their prize and details of how to book. 11. The runners up voucher prizes are for the value of £260.00, for 2 people to attend Leith's School of Food and Wine within 12 months of receipt of the voucher. Winners will be sent the vouchers where it will then be the responsibility of the winner to contact the school and book a date and time of mutual convenience for their course. The runner up prizes will be delivered via recorded delivery to the winners' designated addresses by no later than 18 November 2011. Delivery of prizes will be restricted to mainland UK addresses only. The winners must ensure that they or their nominee is present to accept delivery of the prize at the agreed delivery date and time. 12. The prizes are non-transferable, non refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. The decisions of the Promoter are final and no correspondence will be entered into. 13. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the prizes or for the conduct of the prize winners or their guests once the prizes have been claimed by the winners. 14. The Promoter reserves the right to provide alternative prizes of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances. 15. By entering this competition winners are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and will be required to take part in any related publicity. 16.
